Madison Mayor Marshall Dennert said during Monday’s city commission meeting that he is strongly encouraging residents to wear masks to help slow down the spread of the coronavirus in the community.  Dennert and several other commissioners wore masks during Monday’s meeting and he said he’s encouraging others to do the same.

Commissioner Adam Shaw said that city leaders and residents need to take a proactive approach in helping stop the spread of COVID-19.

Mayor Dennert also on Monday talked about information from the CDC that the city’s Human Resources office will use going forward in handling city employees who either test positive for COVID-19 or who come in close contact with someone who is infected with the virus.
