Madison man injured in vehicle-pedestrian accident

A Madison man was injured Wednesday after being hit by a vehicle in Madison.  Madison Police report that just after 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, 58-year-old William Torrence of Madison was driving a 2002 Ford pickup east on Southeast 1st Street when he hit a man who was walking across the street near the intersection with South Harth Avenue in Madison.  Police report that the man who was hit was taken by ambulance to Madison Regional Health System and later airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital.  

Torrence was cited for Failure to Yield to a Pedestrian in a Crosswalk.
