A 20-year-old Madison man was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Monday afternoon south of Rutland.  The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded just after 1:00 Monday afternoon to an injury accident on 228th Street near the intersection with 462nd Avenue.  Sheriff Tim Walburg said Brady Nelson of Madison was driving a truck east on 228th Street when the truck entered the south ditch and rolled, landing on its top.  Nelson was transported by ambulance to Madison Regional Health and later flown to Sioux Falls for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.  Walburg said that Nelson was driving a 2001 Volvo Flatbed Truck for Helena Agri-Enterprises of Madison.  He said that Nelson was wearing a seatbelt and speed is not suspected to be a factor in the accident.

Other agencies assisting with the accident were the Wentworth and Nunda Fire Departments and Madison Ambulance.
