Madison firefighters responded to a call Saturday afternoon.  Madison Fire Chief Randy Minnaert said that the call came in just after 5:15 Saturday afternoon to a residence south of Madison where embers from a controlled burn had gotten into a shed.  Minnaert said the shed was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived and was a total loss.  He said that the owner had been burning some yard waste and hot embers from that caught the shed on fire.  Minnaert said firefighters were on scene for about an hour.

Minnaert said there have been a few calls on grass fires in the area in the past week and he reminds residents that even though things are starting to green up, there is still a lot of dead vegetation that can fuel a fire.
