Madison firefighters respond to call at local business

The Madison Fire Department responded to a call for a fire at a Madison business on Friday night.  According to the fire department’s Facebook page, the call came from a passer-by who saw smoke coming from a building at Interlakes Sport Center on Southwest 10th Street (or the south Madison bypass).  Firefighters found heavy black smoke upon arrival and found an active fire within the building.  Firefighters were able to get in the building to locate the fire and were able to knock it down, limiting the damage to the rest of the structure.
