The Madison City and Madison Central School Board election that was scheduled to take place on April 14th has been postponed.  The action comes after the South Dakota Legislature passed a bill (Senate Bill 1298) as part of emergency legislation considered Monday during the Legislature’s annual Veto Day.  The legislation allows local elections to be postponed and to be held on a Tuesday in June. No new date for the combined city and school board election has been set yet.

The state’s primary election is scheduled for June 2nd. Â
