Madison City/Madison Central School Board election postponed

The Madison City and Madison Central School Board election that was scheduled to take place on April 14th has been postponed. The action comes after the South Dakota Legislature passed a bill (Senate Bill 1298) as part of emergency legislation considered Monday during the Legislature’s annual Veto Day. The legislation allows local elections to be postponed and to be held on a Tuesday in June. No new date for the combined city and school board election has been set yet.Â
The state’s primary election is scheduled for June 2nd. Â
