Madison City Commission meeting Tuesday

The Madison City Commission is holding its regular weekly meeting later today (Tuesday) because of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday.  The commission will again be meeting virtually for today’s meeting.

On the agenda for the commission is a letter from the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources regarding Clean Water State Revolving Fund loans, and a grant agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration for the CARES Act.  Commissioners will also discuss an engagement proposal from Shpigler Consulting Incorporated for Advanced Metering Infrastructure, and approve first reading of an ordinance regarding golf carts.

The commission today will also discuss the public use of city facilities, and appoint an election board for next week’s primary and combined city and school board election.

The Madison City Commission meeting starts at 5:30 today.

During time for public comment, you have two options to contribute:

  • Use the chat function within GoToMeeting; list your name and topic you wish to discuss – we will then call on you when we get to public comment time.
  • Reach out to our office before 5:00pm Tuesday at 256-7500 option 3 or email [email protected] to be added to the list to be called on during the meeting.

Normal public comment rules will be followed: no action can be taken and each person gets 3 minutes.
