Madison City Commission meeting on Monday

The Madison City Commission holds its regular weekly meeting Monday. The commission has several items on its agenda regarding USDA Rural Development and the city’s water system, wastewater and sanitary sewer system, and storm sewer system improvement projects. Commissioners are also scheduled to consider a sub-recipient agreement with the state Department of Public Safety for Hazard Mitigation grant program funding, and a consent and notice letter from New Cingular Wireless (or AT&T) for site alterations on Northwest 4th Street in Madison.

The commission has two resolutions on its agenda also Monday. One will grant limited authority for authorizing changes on public infrastructure improvement projects, and the other establishes fees for tapping water mains and meter charges.

The commission will end the meeting with an update on COVID-19, and then hold a 2021 budget discussion.

The Madison City Commission meets at 5:30 Monday and the meeting can be accessed virtually through the GoToMeeting application.

Normal public comment rules will be followed: no action can be taken and each person gets 3 minutes.
