Madison City Commission meeting Monday

The Madison City Commission holds its regular weekly meeting today.  The commission is scheduled to approve second reading of an amended zoning ordinance, and ratify the submission and authorize the Mayor to sign an Applicant Risk Assessment Questionnaire with the state for a CARES Act Library Technology Grant.  

Commissioners will also consider several items with Banner Associates for the city’s water system, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer improvement projects.  They also will set the bid date for a 750-thousand gallon water tower as part of the city’s water system improvement project, and set a request for proposals date for the city’s Advanced Metering Infrastructure.  

An executive session for personnel is scheduled for the end of today’s meeting.  Commissioners are scheduled to meet at 5:30, again utilizing the GoToMeeting application.

For the meeting on Monday, we will be using GoToMeeting to help follow CDC guidelines. A few options on how to attend via GoToMeeting are below. During time for public comment, you have two options to contribute:

• Use the chat function within GoToMeeting; list your name and topic you wish to discuss – we will then call on you when we get to public comment time.
• Reach out to our office before 5:00pm Monday at 256-7500 option 3 or email [email protected] to be added to the list to be called on during the meeting.

Normal public comment rules will be followed: no action can be taken and each person gets 3 minutes.
