The Madison City Commission is holding its first regular meeting of December later today.

On the agenda for commissioners are resolutions authorizing the Mayor or Designated Representative to submit USDA Rural Development applications for wastewater and storm sewer improvement projects. Commissioners will also adopt a resolution establishing city employees’ compensation for 2020, and hold first reading of the city’s 2020 budget ordinance.

The commission will also acknowledge notice of hazard mitigation grant program funding for recent disasters, and set hearing dates on the city’s wastewater and storm sewer improvement projects.  A proposed resolution declaring the necessity for sidewalk improvement for 2020 will also be discussed and a hearing date set, and commissioners will set a bid date for chemicals.

Commissioners will hold a 2020 budget discussion at 4:00 this afternoon, followed by their regular meeting at 5:30, all in the commission room in Madison City Hall.
