Madison City Commission meeting Monday

The Madison City Commission holds its regular weekly meeting today. Commissioners will again meet virtually by use of the GoToMeeting application.

On the agenda for city commissioners is a resolution repealing an earlier resolution limiting the number of patrons inside casinos, bars and restaurants in the city. Commissioners are also scheduled to discuss future COVID-19 departmental guidelines, and discuss an application from The Office Bar & Grill for a permit to occupy the city’s right-of-way for outdoor seating.

Also on the agenda for the commission today is an addendum to Banner Associates’ Engineering Report for the city’s sanitary and storm sewer system improvement project. Commissioners will also consider several items regarding USDA Rural Development and the city’s wastewater and sanitary sewer system improvement project, as well as the city’s storm sewer system improvement project.

During time for public comment, you have two options to contribute:

Use the chat function within GoToMeeting; list your name and topic you wish to discuss – we will then call on you when we get to public comment time.
Reach out to our office before 5:00pm Monday (5-4-20) at 256-7500 option 3 or email [email protected] to be added to the list to be called on during the meeting.

Normal public comment rules will be followed: no action can be taken and each person gets 3 minutes.
