Madison City Commission holding meeting Monday

The Madison City Commission is holding its first regular meeting of February Monday.  The commission has several business items on its agenda today.  The commission will hold a public hearing on and approve Gaylen’s Gourmet Popcorn’s application for a Retail Malt Beverage License, and also hold a public hearing on and approve a temporary alcohol license for the St. Thomas Church Social.  

Todd Kays with First District Association of Local Governments will present the district’s annual report, and commissioners will discuss the USDA Water Bond closing and debt terms.  Also on the agenda for the city commission is a resolution for the bridge inspection program, and an agreement with Brosz Engineering for the 2023 Multi-Community Asphalt Surface Treatment project.  Commissioners are also scheduled to appoint the board for the Madison Housing & Redevelopment Commission.

The commission meets starting at 5:30 Monday in the commission room in Madison City Hall.
