The Madison City Commission has agreed to have a Parkston firm handle the city’s audit services and annual report for 2019.  Commissioners on Monday authorized the Mayor to sign the engagement letters for Schoenfish and Company, certified public accountants.  City Finance Officer Jennifer Eimers said that Schoenfish and Company is charging the city 29-hundred dollars to prepare the city’s annual report, and 15-thousand dollars to prepare the city’s audit for 2019.  Eimers said that is a three-and-a-half percent increase from what they charged for the same services last year. She said that Schoenfish and Company will start its work on the city’s annual report in March.

Eimers on Monday also presented commissioners with information in the city’s 2018 Audit Report.  She said the full report will be available on the city’s website.
