Madison City Commission accepts Finance Officer’s resignation

Madison City Commissioners have accepted the resignation of City Finance Officer Jennifer Eimers.  Commissioners met in executive session to discuss personnel at the end of Monday’s regular meeting.  After re-convening after the executive session, commissioners voted unanimously to accept Eimers’ resignation.  Her resignation is effective immediately.

During the regular meeting Monday, Commissioner Mike Waldner took part through Zoom, but then attended the executive session portion of the meeting in person with the rest of the commissioners and Mayor Marshall Dennert. 

Mayor Dennert said after Monday’s meeting that an interim Finance Officer has not been named, but that all of the office’s employees will help out while the city conducts its search for someone to fill the Finance Officer’s position.  Dennert said the search will begin immediately.
