Madison Central teachers receive MCSEF grants

Several Madison Central educators have received help with projects or professional development thanks to grants through the Madison Central School Educational Foundation.  

Four Madison Elementary teachers and five Madison Middle School educators have been awarded Norm Johnson Educator Grants this spring.  The grants are to be used for technology and classroom tools, books, and subscriptions, or experiences that innovate or enhance the educator’s classroom.  

Receiving Norm Johnson Educator Grants this spring are: Madison Elementary teachers Becky Fjerstad, Michelle Stark, Michelle Hojer, and Casey Materese and Middle School teachers Valerie Wilkens, Jennifer Flemming, and Jeff Larsen, along with Special Education teachers Amanda Klawonn and Marcella Hofman.  

Norm Johnson Educator Enhancement Grants have also been awarded to several Madison Central educators for professional development opportunities. 

Receiving grants this spring are Madison Elementary teachers Lindsey Dietterle, Casey Materese, Megan Janke, Darcie Kavanagh, and Special Education teacher Erin Szilvasi, along with Middle School teacher Jennifer Flemming.

The Madison Central School Educational Foundation also awarded two Performing and Fine Arts grants.  Those went to Madison High School teachers Dawn Wiebers and Cassondra Grogan.

A total of more than 51-hundred dollars in grants have been awarded to Madison Central educators during the 2020-2021 school year.
