Madison Central School District to start girls softball in Spring 2023

The Madison Central School District will now have girls softball as one of its co-curricular activities.  The Madison Central School Board on Monday approved the addition of the sport, which will start as a spring sport in the spring of 2023.  

Madison Central Activities Director Michael Ricke told the board that no coaches have been hired yet, but they have started to schedule games.

Ricke said that for now, they will use Baughman Park for games until the DSU facilities are completed.  He said that a student who wants to participate in softball in the spring will also be able to participate in track and field.
