Madison Central School Board Monthly Meeting Tonight

The Madison Central School Board is holding its regular monthly meeting today.  On the agenda for the board are a number of hiring requests, including several at Madison Elementary School. The board will also consider a food service agreement with the Harrisburg School District, as well as an agreement with St. Thomas. 

Also on Monday’s agenda is the consideration of two constitutional amendments for the South Dakota High School Activities Association. One amendment would add definitions and examples regarding the use of benefits to students or families in regards to the recruitment of students by a school. The other amendment would add clarification to punishments for students or coaches who are ejected from a sporting event. 

An Executive session for negotiations will be held at the end of today’s meeting.

The Madison Central School Board meeting begins at 5:30 today in the high school library.
