The Madison Central School Board approved some personnel items during its regular meeting on Monday.  The board approved the resignations of the district’s Director of Maintenance Riki Hansen and Special Education Paraprofessional Diane Friesz, and approved the hiring of Brenna Johnson as the 7th grade Girls Basketball coach.  

Superintendent Joel Jorgenson reported that along with these two openings now in the district, there is also an opening for a part-time elementary office professional.  Jorgenson that opening is due to Stacy Hunsley moving to the Middle School to take the office position there.  

The board also met in executive session for personnel at the end of Monday’s meeting.  After the executive session, Superintendent Jorgenson recommended to the board the employment termination of the district’s weekend custodian Paul Morin.  Board members approved Jorgenson’s recommendation, with the termination date effective immediately.  

Also during their meeting Monday, school board members approved second reading of four policy updates, held first reading on two policy updates, and acknowledged the review of several other policies.
