The Madison Central School Board approved the district’s calendar for next school year during its meeting on Monday.  The 2021-2022 school district calendar has classes starting on August 19th, with the last day of school next year set for May 17th.

Superintendent Joel Jorgenson said the calendar is similar to previous years and will include a two day open house in August before classes begin.  He also said that additional changes to the calendar, such as an adjustment to the Christmas break, can be considered at a future meeting.

Also during Monday’s meeting, the school board approved a retirement  request from Karen Rahn.  Rahn’s retirement will be effective at the end of the current school year.Â
