The Madison School Board last night. At the meeting Robert Honomichl took the oath of office for a 3 year term and Rich Avery for a one year term. The Board also discussed the ongoing teacher shortage. The school’s handbooks were also reviewed. The Board discussed providing free school meals from August 22nd through September 1st.  Business Manager Mitch Brooks says it’s something they have done in the past.

 

 

The free lunch program thru September 1st was approved by the board. They also discussed an amendment to the DFEA Free admissions policy allowing people age 62 and older to get into Madison school sporting events for free which Superintendent Joel Jorgenson explained further.

 

The board approved the final decision on the DFEA. The next Madison School Board meeting will be held on Monday, September 11th.
