Madison Central School Board addressed the Teacher Shortage

At the Madison Central School Board Meeting on Monday night one of the major topics of discussion was the ongoing teacher shortage. Madison School Board member Rich Avery says the low number of students currently enrolled to become teachers isn’t enough to even fill the current openings in the state.

Avery says the school  board needs to take action now to help with future needs.

The school board talked about some potential solutions such as investing more in student teachers. The next Madison Central School Board meeting will be held on Monday, September 11th at 5:30 PM.
