Madison Central Approves Hires for Three New Elementary Teachers

During last night’s board meeting, the Madison Central School Board approved six new hires for the 2023-24 school year, including three Elementary Teachers.

The three new Elementary Teachers that were hired were Katie Zimmerman (BA+30 for $56,600), Jennifer Shewey (MA for $57,139), and Kendall Appelwick as an Elementary Teacher  (BA for $50,100).

Other hires that were approved were Haley Jungers as a Special Education Teacher (BA for $50,450), Katie Brooks as Family and Consumer Science Teacher (BA+15 for $52,900) and FCCLA Advisor (L/IV-10 for $1,932), and Mya Tschetter as a Speech/Language Pathologist Assistant ($32 per hr).

Tara Liesinger was also hired as the Middle School Golf Coach (L/IV-1 $1,718).

There were also five resignations approved, including Nancy Arneson as Sped Bus Driver, effective 05/26/23, Christy Perry as ParaProfessional, effective 04/21/2023, and Stacy Thomsen as Speech/Language Pathologist.

The resignations of Kindra Wiese as Cheer Coach for Football and Wrestling, and Dana Gonyo as Student Council Advisor, effective end of this school year were also approved.
