Lewis family chosen as honorary captains for DSU Ag Bowl

A local family has been chosen as the honorary captains for Dakota State University’s Ag Bowl.  The Ag Bowl Committee chose the Lewis family of Winfred to represent area agriculture as Honorary Captains for DSU’s 5th annual Ag Bowl this Saturday at Trojan Field.

Kim and Cheryl Lewis are third generation farmers from Winfred, and Kim’s uncle, Gary Lewis-Coomes, also farms near Winfred.  Others in the family work at DSU, including Kim’s cousin, Josh Anderson, DSU’s head football coach, and Dr. Pam Rowland, Kim’s sister.

Kim Lewis said they are thankful to be part of both agriculture and DSU.  He said the connections between technology and ag will continue to grow.

DSU football plays Dickinson State in the Ag Bowl Saturday, starting at 2:00 at Trojan Field.
