Lewis & Clark Water project hoping for push in funding

With the focus on infrastructure funding at the state and federal level, backers of the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System are hoping to get a big push to the finish line. Construction on the three-state system has been underway for about twenty years.

Executive Director Troy Larson said the funding trends may have changed.

Larson said the finish line is in sight.

Larson said they have totaled up the final costs.

Water is currently being delivered to fifteen of the twenty members who are a part of the Lewis and Clark Regional Water Project.  The city of Madison is one of the members not receiving water yet, along with four communities in Iowa.
