Legislative session opens on Tuesday
The 95th session of the South Dakota Legislature gets underway tomorrow in Pierre. The session opens at noon and Governor Kristi Noem will deliver her State of the State address to lawmakers at 1:00 Tuesday afternoon.
Representing District 8, which is made up of Lake, Miner, Moody, and Sanborn counties, are Representatives Randy Gross of Elkton and Marli Wiese of Madison and Senator Jordan Youngberg of Chester.
Youngberg is serving as vice-chair of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, along with also serving on the Local Government and State Affairs committees during this year’s session.
Gross serves on the Appropriations committee during this legislative session.
Wiese serves on the House Education committee, as well as the Health and Human Services committee, where she serves as vice-chair.
