As positive COVID-19 numbers continued to increase across the state over the weekend, Lake County was no exception.  The county has reported 30 new positive COVID-19 cases since Friday, along with 22 recovered cases.  Lake County’s total number of positive cases is now at 537, with 368 recovered, and nine deaths.  This puts the number of active COVID-19 cases in Lake County now at 160.  

Statewide, more than 27-hundred new positive cases were reported over the weekend, with 26 additional deaths.  There are currently 546 people hospitalized because of the virus, and 15-thousand-750 active cases as of Sunday.  

Elsewhere in our area, McCook County had 144 active COVID-19 cases as of Sunday, Kingsbury County had 116, and Moody County had 104.  Miner County reported 51 active cases Sunday, and Brookings County had 453.
