Lake County Sheriff Responds to UTV and Four Wheeler Accidents

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to two injury accidents on Sunday.

At approximately 5:09 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office was called to a UTV rollover on 241st St & 444th Ave.  Upon investigation, it showed that the UTV was eastbound on 241st St, east of 44th Avenue and entered the south ditch.  The driver, a juvenile male, said he attempted to steer back onto the road, ultimately rolling onto the passenger side. 

The passenger was injured and transported from the scene for treatment of injuries.

The Madison Fire Department and Madison Ambulance assisted on the call.

The second injury accident the Sheriff’s office responded to occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. and involved a four wheeler. After investigating the accident near the intersection of 459th Ave and Evergreen Acres Drive it showed that the four wheeler was traveling westbound on Evergreen Acres Drive, entered a skid and eventually entered the north ditch and rolled. 

There were two occupants on the four wheeler.  There are serious life threatening injuries to both occupants and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

  The Madison Fire Department, Madison Ambulance, Madison Police Department, Wentworth Fire and SD Game, Fish and Parks all assisted at the scene.
