Lake County Resident has concerns with County Budget

The Lake County Commission meeting was yesterday. One of the major topics of discussion was that the Commission approved the Fiscal Year 2024 Provisional Budget.  Lake County resident Charlie Johnson spoke on some of his concerns, especially when it comes to the recent budget cuts that involve the Highway Department.

County Administrative Director Shelli Gust spoke more on the breakdown of the proposed budget.

Some other items that they ratified were a proposal for the Joint Bypass Project between the County and the City of Madison which Gust spoke more on.

The next Lake County Commission meeting will be held on September 21st at 9:00 AM in the Lake County commission room. September 19th will be the election for the Opt Out.
