Positive COVID-19 cases continued to increase in Lake County and the state over the weekend.  As of Sunday, Lake County reported an additional ten positive cases since Friday, eight more recovered.  There have been seven total COVID-19 deaths in the county, and the number of active cases as of Sunday is 27.

Statewide, positive COVID-19 cases increased by more than six-hundred, and there were four more virus-related deaths.  There are now 2843 active cases in the state, and 170 people are currently hospitalized.  This is up from 138 that were reported on Friday.

In area counties, Brookings County reports 97 active COVID-19 cases as of Sunday.  McCook County has fifteen, Kingsbury County has 12, and Moody County currently has eleven active COVID-19 cases.
