Seven more COVID-19 deaths were reported in the state over the weekend.  As of Sunday, the state’s total number of virus-related deaths was 184, according to the state Department of Health.  Overall, an additional 521 new positive COVID-19 cases were reported in the state since Friday, putting the state’s total number of positive cases overall at 16-thousand-638.  Of those positive cases, currently 2461 of them are active, and 110 people are currently hospitalized.  

Lake County reported another six new positive COVID-19 cases over the weekend.  As of Sunday, Lake County’s total number of positive cases was at 148, with 116 of them recovered and six total deaths.  There are 26 active cases in the county at this time, and five people have ever been hospitalized. 

Area counties also saw increases in active positive COVID-19 cases over the weekend.  As of Sunday, Brookings County reports 129 active cases, and McCook and Moody Counties each have thirteen.  There are nine active coronavirus cases in Kingsbury County at this time, and two in Miner County.
