Lake County is reporting it’s second COVID-19 related death Thursday.  The state Department of Health reports two new deaths in the state on Thursday, one in Lake County and one in Pennington County.  The deaths include a woman and a man, both in the 80 and over age range.  This brings the state’s total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 121.

Lake County also reports two additional new positive COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the county’s overall total to 56.  The state reports that 41 of the cases are recovered and two people have died, putting the total number of active cases in Lake County at 13 at this time. There have been 809 negative tests in the county.

Overall, the state is reporting 66 new positive COVID-19 cases Thursday, for a total of 8143.  Of those, there are 808 active cases and 50 people are currently hospitalized.  

Area counties reporting one additional new positive coronavirus case Thursday include McCook County, which now has three active cases, and Kingsbury, which has one.  Miner County remains at one active case at this time, and Brookings County has ten.
