Lake County saw another increase in positive COVID-19 cases over the weekend.  On Sunday, the state Department of Health reported one new positive case in Lake County, putting the county’s overall total at 20.  The state reports that sixteen of the cases are recovered and there has been one death, so the total number of active COVID-19 cases in Lake County currently is at three. The county remains in the minimal to moderate community spread category, with 660 negative tests performed and three people ever hospitalized.

Miner County also had another positive COVID-19 case reported on Sunday, putting that county’s total number of active cases currently at six.  

Overall the state had an increase of 146 new positive COVID-19 cases over the weekend.  Three more deaths were reported on Saturday, bringing the state’s total to 91.  At this time there are 838 active coronavirus cases in the state, and 75 people are currently hospitalized. 

As of Sunday, Kingsbury and McCook counties both reported three active COVID-19 cases, while Moody County reported two and Brookings County reported fourteen.
