Data released Tuesday by the state Department of Health lists one more positive COVID-19 case in Lake County, along with one more that has recovered.  Lake County now has 16 positive COVID-19 cases total, with twelve of them recovered and one death, keeping the number of active cases in the county at this time at three. The state Department of Health Tuesday also moved Lake County into the minimal to moderate community spread category.  There have been 542 negative tests in Lake County.  

Another two COVID-19 related deaths are being reported in the state Tuesday – residents of Minnehaha and Pennington counties.  The state’s total number of deaths from the virus is now at 77.

The state is reporting another 38 new positive coronavirus cases Tuesday, bringing the state’s overall total to 5966.  Of those cases, 820 of them are active and 92 people are hospitalized. 

As of Tuesday, area counties with two active cases currently are Kingsbury and Moody, while McCook and Miner counties each have one.  Brookings County on Tuesday increased to 12 active COVID-19 cases.
