Another two new positive COVID-19 cases are being reported in Lake County Tuesday, with three more cases reported as recovered.  The state Department of Health reports the county’s total number of positive COVID-19 cases is now 69, with 49 recovered and two deaths.  This puts the number of active cases currently at 18, and there have been 842 negative tests.

Statewide, the number of new positive COVID-19 cases went up by 48 Tuesday.  Of the close to 85-hundred positive cases total in the state, 895 of them are active at this time and 49 people are currently hospitalized.  123 South Dakota residents have died from the virus.

The state reports that Miner and McCook counties each have one more positive COVID-19 case Tuesday.  Miner County currently has three active cases and McCook County has four.  Other area counties’ totals include three active cases in Kingsbury County, four in Moody, and seven in Brookings County.
