Lake County gauging interest in Veterans Service Officer position

Lake County is looking for veterans who may be interested in helping out other veterans through its Veterans Service Officer position.  The county’s part-time VSO resigned in July and Commission Administrative Officer Shelli Gust told Lake County Commissioners Tuesday that they have been in discussion with Moody County on a potentially shared position, but that hasn’t been decided yet.  She said she wants to see what the interest may be in the position.

Currently Lake County’s Veterans Service Officer position is part-time with no benefits, with the potential of full-time if a partnership is reached with Moody County.
