Lake County Commission Looking at an Opt-Out

 

The Lake County Commission met yesterday and  discussed a potential Opt Out and the Road/Bridge levy as options for generating revenue for the county. Commissioners spoke about the plans and which one could potentially be the best for the county going forward.

 

Commission Administrative Officer Shelli Gust explains how the need for these 2 plans came to be.

 

Commissioners discussed the two plans and their advantages, and disadvantages. In the end, commissioner Adam Leighton made a motion to proceed with an Opt out plan.

 

 

The motion passed unanimously. The next reading on the Opt Out resolution will be held Thursday July 6th at 9am in the commission room.Â
