Lake County Commissioners elect chair & vice-chair for 2020; take action on other annual business
The Lake County Commission has re-elected it’s Chair and Vice-Chair for the commission for this year. During their meeting Tuesday, commissioners re-elected Kelli Wollmann to serve as Chair of the Commission and Roger Hageman as Vice-Chair for 2020.
Also during Tuesday’s meeting, commissioners approved their meeting dates and times for the year, and county employees’ salaries, which included a three-percent increase for all employees and 27 employees receiving an additional adjustment. The county’s 2020 board appointments, department liaisons, and other appointments were also approved during Tuesday’s meeting, as well as other annual business.
County commissioners yesterday also approved the county’s jail contracts for the year with Kingsbury, McCook, Miner, Moody, and Sanborn counties. Sheriff Tim Walburg said that the contracts are the same as previous years.
The commission also approved the hiring of a Deputy Register of Deeds. Commissioners approved hiring Paula Ullom effective January 21st at a rate of $15.95 an hour. Ullom’s hiring is contingent upon satisfactorily completing pre-employment screening.
