Lake County Commissioners Approved a Number of Items at Their Tuesday Meeting

The Lake County Commissioners approved a number of items at their regular meeting on Tuesday morning. Lake County Sheriff Sarina Talich introduced new Deputy Sheriff Joseph Gerry to Commissioners. Gerry was sworn in earlier in the morning by Judge Pat Pardy, and his hiring was approved at a rate of $22.85 per hour, effective March 21st. 

Gerry is a certified law enforcement officer, who has previous experience with the Sioux Falls and Lennox police departments, and is also an MP with the South Dakota Army National Guard. 

Also approved was a resolution from the Lake Madison Sanitary District, to annex property into the District. The property in question is southwest of the railroad right of way, also described as 238th street, in Section 36, Township 106 North, Range 52. 

The Commission also approved an application for a Retail Malt Beverage license, as well as a Retail on-sale Liquor license, for Doug and Kim Erickson of Prairie Shores LLC. They also approved a transfer of a Male Beverage license from The Shipwreck Bar and Grill, to Mark Thrun of Whirlwind Investments LLC.
