Lake County Commission Discusses Budget and Bypass Project Funding

The Lake County Commission met yesterday, some of the topics they discussed involved the Bypass Project and if they would get additional funding granted. Commision Administrative Director Shelli Gust says she was contacted by Senator Thune’s office regarding the funding.

The County Commission also discussed the county budget, after making some substantial cuts, Gust says the overall general fund was not in a place where that was desirable.

Some zoning matters were also discussed at the meeting namely the development with the City Commission’s proposed Restricted Use Site. There was no decision on that & has been postponed until the next Lake County Commission Meeting on September 5th at 10 am in the Lake County Commission Room.
