Lake County is looking into having a long-term plan put together for the county’s paved roads. During their meeting on Tuesday, county commissioners discussed the possibility of a pavement management plan. Commission Administrative Officer Shelli Gust told commissioners that the county’s Highway Advisory Committee recommended having the plan done after hearing more about it during a recent meeting.
Commissioner Dennis Slaughter said that it’s something that could work well for the county.
Slaughter said that the company who does the plan will also tailor it to fit the county’s budget.
Commissioners approved a motion to have Highway Superintendent Nels Nelson move forward with a pavement management plan with the possibility of including it in the county’s 2022 budget.
