Influenza cases down in the state
A side benefit of COVID-19 precautions seems to be very low influenza numbers this winter. State Epidemiologist Dr. Josh Clayton says this is normally the peak time for flu.
Clayton says this is a very unusual season. He says it is not too late for people to get a flu shot, as it can still provide protection.
Clayton says a flu shot can be taken by most people in tandem with a COVID-19 vaccination.
