Anyone interested in learning more about growing industrial hemp is encouraged to attend one of a series of meetings planned in the state over the next several weeks, including one in Madison on Thursday.  South Dakota industrial hemp grain and fiber processors are looking to contract eight-thousand acres by March 11th, and will be sharing information during the  Industrial Hemp Growers Meetings.  The meeting in Madison on Thursday will be held at Nicky’s starting at 9:00 a.m.

Derrick Dohmann of Horizon Hemp Seeds said they hope to educate and inform those who may be interested in growing industrial hemp.

Dohmann said that Ken Meyer with A.H. Meyer and Sons, Incorporated of Winfred will also be one of the speakers at Thursday’s meeting.
