HuntSAFE Registration and New Hunting and Fishing Licenses

Those looking to either enroll their kids into HuntSAFE classes or get a new Hunting and Fishing License can now do so.

In-person HuntSAFE classes are currently being scheduled for kids that will be 12 years old by the end of the year and older. The class is free of charge and allows kids to learn knowledge and skills relative to hunting and hunter safety.

Those who complete the course will receive a HuntSAFE certification card.

Classes in Madison will be held at the Madison Izaak Walton Clubhouse on May 18th and 19th from 6-9pm and on May 20th from 9am-2pm.

To register your kid for HuntSAFE classes visit this link here or for more information contact Cody Symens with the South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks at [email protected].

Also, new 2023 Hunting and Fishing Licenses can currently be purchased for this year, and Symens said to get the new license sooner rather than later.

New licenses, along with more Game, Fish, and Parks information, can be found online at gfp.sd.gov.
