There is now a second candidate who has filed petitions for a seat on the Madison Central School Board.

The Madison Central Business Office reports that incumbent board member Rob Honomichl of Madison filed his nominating petitions on Monday.

Honomichl joins Richard Avery of Madison in filing petitions for the two seats open on the Madison Central School Board this year.  School board members serve three-year terms.

Two people have also filed nominating petitions for the Madison City Commission election.  Adam Shaw and Patrick Mullen have both filed petitions for the two seats open on the Madison City Commission.  There are also three others currently circulating petitions in the Madison City Commission election, including incumbent commissioners Jeremiah Corbin and Kelly Johnson, and Jerae Wire.  Madison City Commissioners also serve three-year terms.

The deadline for candidates to file nominating petitions for either the Madison City Commission or Madison Central School Board election is February 28th.

A joint Madison City and Madison Central School Board election is scheduled for April 14th.
