Homecoming week at Madison, DSU, and Colman-Egan

This week is homecoming week at Madison Central and Dakota State University.

Madison High School is holding its homecoming coronation tonight at 8:00 at the Madison High School gym.  Homecoming royalty candidates for Madison are Ally Drew, Riley Weatherill, Izzy Gors, Jenny Bernard, and Allison Bruns, along with Ashton Nills, Colby Briggs, Carter Bergheim, Truman Stoller, and Oliver Jankord.  Other homecoming activities in Madison this week include powderpuff football Thursday night at Trojan Field, and class activities and a pep rally on Friday afternoon.  The Madison High School football team will take on Milbank in its homecoming football game on Friday night at 7:00.

The theme for homecoming week at DSU is Soaring through the Decades.  The university has several activities going on throughout the week, including coronation tonight at 7:30 at the Dakota Prairie Playhouse in Madison.  There will be a door decorating contest on campus and people can guess the location of the Travelin’ Trojan.  The annual Trojan Days parade will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. on Egan Avenue, and the DSU football team will play Waldorf University at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Trojan Field.  

Also celebrating homecoming this week is Colman-Egan.  Coronation is scheduled for tonight in Colman, and there is a parade scheduled for Friday at 2:00 p.m.  The Colman-Egan football team will take on Estelline-Hendricks on Friday night. Â
