Saturday is full of holiday activities for area residents.

In Madison, it’s the annual Madison’s Magical Christmas.  The day starts with Day with Santa at the Madison Armory from 9:30 a.m. until noon, and then a children’s movie, which will start at the Armory at 1:30 tomorrow afternoon.  There will be sleigh rides starting at the downtown Armory from 3:15 until 5:15 Saturday afternoon, and then the Community tree lighting in the Madison Dairy Queen parking lot at 5:30.  All of the Madison’s Magical Christmas activities are free, but there will be a Lake County Food Pantry free will donation at Day with Santa, and a free will donation for the sleigh rides as well.  Madison’s Magical Christmas is being coordinated by the Madison Chamber’s Leadership Madison participants.

Also in Madison on Saturday is a Festival of Trees at the Lake County 4-H Center on South Egan Avenue in Madison.  From 2:00 until 4:00 Saturday afternoon, Santa will be at the 4-H Center and there will be treats as people check out the decorated Christmas trees.

This weekend is also Christmas at the Dells in Dell Rapids.  There will be a variety of activities going on throughout the day Saturday and Sunday at several different locations throughout Dell Rapids as part of “A Gingerbread Christmas”.
