Grass Fire in Madison Earlier This Week

Madison firefighters responded to a call of a grass fire north of Madison on Wednesday evening. 

Madison Fire Chief Randy Minnaert said that the call came in after 10:30pm. The fire was reported near 456th ave and 228th street. There was a pile of dumped ashes nearby from burning debris that may have started the fire.

Minnaert said firefighters were on scene for around two hours.
