Another seven positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in the state on Monday, bringing the total number of positive cases now to 28.  The new positive cases were reported in Beadle, Codington, Davison, Hughes, Lyman and McCook counties. State Health Secretary Kim Malsam-Rysdon said that one of those who tested positive is an inmate in the women’s prison in Pierre.

Governor Kristi Noem said that everyone in the state needs to be diligent going forward as the positive cases continue to increase.

The governor said that the number of positive COVID-19 cases will continue to rise, and residents need to keep taking care of themselves and their families.

More information on the numbers and information from the Governor and the state Department of Health can be found on the state’s COVID-19 website.  We have a link to that also on under our special Coronavirus page.
