Governor to deliver State of the State address to kick off 2020 legislative session

Governor Kristi Noem will deliver her annual State of the State Address to a joint meeting of the legislature this afternoon.

In a video released by her office, Noem previewed some of the themes in her speech, focusing on economic expansion.  

Noem says she wants to help new and expanding businesses.

Noem says the state has the ability to move rapidly.

Noem will deliver her State of the State speech at 1:00 this afternoon following the opening of the 2020 legislative session.
