As the state hits another COVID-19 milestone with the number of virus related deaths topping one-thousand, Governor Kristi Noem says that these deaths have affected everyone in the state.

Noem says that the surge of coronavirus cases in the state is not unexpected.

The CDC director has said that the next three months will be very difficult across the country. Noem says the impact will continue to be regional.

There are currently more than fifteen thousand active COVID-19 cases across the state.
